The Goals and Objectives of the Associate Degree programs @ KIC are:

 

 

A-

Offer accredited certificate and associate degree programs that:

 

 

 

1.   Are in high demand locally.
2.  
Produce graduates who can start a career in their major without the need for further training at the local market.
3.  
Enable the student to transfer most credits to four-year accredited universities locally and abroad.
4.  
Meet or exceed the expectations of most students who enroll on these programs.
5.  
Meet or exceed the expectations of most employers.
6.  
Have curricula based on recognized international standards.
7.  
Equip the student with a set of general skills and basic knowledge about English language, mathematics, IT, writing skills and Islamic culture.
8.  
Produce graduates who are fluent in English language, independent learners, have good practical skills in their major, have good communication skills, have positive attitude and appreciate other cultures.

 

 

B-

Provide continuing education and corporate training programs for those seeking to enhance personal skills and employment skills.

 

 

C-

Establish and Maintain a set of effective learning support services by having policies and procedures that:

 

 

 

1.   Attract and retain qualified faculty that have good industrial experience as well as good communication skills.
2.  
Maintain state-of-the-art IT labs and lecture rooms.
3.  
Maintain a rich Learning Resource Center that includes sufficient number of the latest books, CDs, videotapes and Internet enabled PCs.
4.  
Maintain an effective web-based learning support services.
5.  
Maintain conducive academic atmosphere that challenges faculty and students to actively participate in the educational process.

 

 

D-

Establish and maintain effective units which constitutes the student support services that include:

 

 

 

1.   Management system that utilizes the College's resources very well and offer students good value for money.
2.  
Institutional research unit that helps the management with short and long-term planning.
3.  
Career service unit that helps students find and choose suitable jobs.
4.  
Student service unit that helps students in organizing sports, scientific, and social activities.
5.  
Health service unit for the College staff and students.
6.  
Alumni association unit that keeps graduates in contact with the College and offers them life-long learning courses.
7.  
Other services such as prayer rooms, student lounges, lockers and car parking service.
